Give the agent a real task.
Read and edit files, run terminal commands, and work through changes on your machine. The agent acts with your user permissions—not inside a guaranteed sandbox. Review its access and changes.
An agent that remembers your history, develops its own ways of working, and grows more capable alongside you. Carry its memory between your devices, backed up and sealed, and choose the model that powers it.
A growing memory. An evolving agent. A mind you own.
macOS, Windows & Linux · Your hardware · Your model-provider account
Free to run. Your Aedelgard key ($3/month) adds sealed backup and brings your mind to any machine.
Keep the prototype local. It needs to run without a database service.
Use a hosted database from day one.
Export must work without contacting our servers.
Inspect saved decisions, constraints and working procedures directly in your project workspace.
Aedelgard brings coding tools and stored project history into one workspace. The goal is simple: make the reasoning behind yesterday’s work available when you continue today.
Read and edit files, run terminal commands, and work through changes on your machine. The agent acts with your user permissions—not inside a guaranteed sandbox. Review its access and changes.
Save decisions, constraints and reusable procedures. Inspect records and correct outdated facts. A project heading helps scope recall; it is not a confidentiality boundary between clients.
Use a supported provider or compatible local model without discarding saved history. Models still differ in reasoning, recall and tool use. Portable records do not guarantee identical behaviour.
Memory is useful only if you can examine it, correct it and recover it. You should not need to stay with one model—or with Aedelgard—to keep the history of your work.
Inspect the architecture →Review stored memory and the history of changed facts. Saving a record is not the same as recalling it reliably.
The built-in ZIP export includes portable memory and its knowledge graph, not provider credentials. The ZIP is unencrypted: store it privately and verify restoration on a compatible installation.
With a remote model, context goes directly to your provider under its policies. A compatible local model handles inference on your machine. Optional cloud backup carries encrypted memory, not model inference.
Aedelgard runs on your own machine with your own model, and that costs nothing. The Aedelgard key is the one thing we sell: it carries your mind beyond a single computer.
Windows, macOS and Linux, signed where the platform allows.
Inspect it, correct it, delete it.
Your own provider key, or a local model. Prompts go from your machine to your provider; we are not in that path.
The whole mind as a ZIP, including a plain format any program can read.
Your body seals your mind on your machine and uploads only the sealed copy. It is sealed with a key derived from your Aedelgard key; our own master key cannot open it at rest.
Install Aedelgard on a new computer, enter your key, and your latest backup comes home.
The backup outlives the hardware.
$3/month for as long as you keep the key active.
No email, no password. The key is the account, so keep it safe: we cannot recover it.
Cancel any time. You keep the key, your local mind and its export; the sealed copy stays retrievable for 30 days, then it is deleted.
That is the ambition. The practical work is keeping useful history—inspectable, correctable, and yours to carry forward.
