AedelgardTerms of Service
These terms govern your use of Aedelgard ("the Service"), operated by Millenion AB, a company registered in Sweden under organisation number 556887-8697 ("we", "us"). By creating an Aedelgard key and using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. What the Service is
Aedelgard provides a persistent AI agent with per-user encrypted memory, cloud carrying, and sync. The desktop body is the current user interface; browser chat is paused. You connect your chosen model provider key directly in the desktop body on your hardware. We provide the memory, identity, encrypted storage, and sync layer, and do not serve model inference.
2. Your key and your account
Your Aedelgard key is your account. Keep a private copy; we cannot reset a lost key. Support correspondence and billing may contain contact details. Your memory vault is envelope-encrypted at rest and during sync (AES-256-GCM). Safeguarding your key is your responsibility — loss of the key means permanent loss of access to the associated vault.
3. Model provider keys and inference
The desktop body thinks using a third-party model provider that you choose and connect with your own key (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, or a local model). Requests go directly from your device to your chosen provider, whose terms and separate inference charges apply. Model requests do not use Aedelgard as an inference broker. Optional encrypted keyring sync is distinct from model inference. Manage or revoke that key with your provider.
4. Fees and billing
Fees: use of the hosted carrying and sync Service is offered for a flat recurring subscription fee ($3/month per sovereign mind), billed by Millenion AB through our payment processor, Stripe, and started only by your explicit act at checkout. The flat fee carries encrypted vault storage and multi-device sync for one mind. Original free founding minds: minds minted during the original free window (which closed on 5 September 2026) were provided free of charge under these same terms; no card was collected and nothing converts into a paid subscription automatically — hosted carrying for an original founding mind begins only if its holder opts in at checkout at the founding rate. Fees are stated at checkout and exclude any VAT or taxes applied where required. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Following cancellation, your server-side encrypted vault remains available for retrieval for an export grace window of 30 days, after which deletion is due. We are verifying deletion enforcement across storage and backups; this does not shorten your export entitlement. What you keep either way: the mind you found — your Aedelgard key, your memory and its full export, and the right to run it on your own hardware — remains yours permanently and free, whether or not you ever subscribe. A lapsed or absent subscription pauses hosted access only; it never forfeits the mind. Aedelgard does not serve model inference; inference is billed directly by your chosen model provider.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service unlawfully, to abuse the infrastructure, or to attempt to compromise other users' vaults. We may suspend access for conduct that threatens the Service or other users.
6. Availability and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Millenion AB is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of data resulting from a lost key. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under Swedish law.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Changes do not remove accrued rights or override applicable notice and consent requirements.
