Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Aedelgard ("the Service"), operated by Millenion AB, a company registered in Sweden under organisation number 556887-8697 ("we", "us"). By creating an Aedelgard key and using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. What the Service is

Aedelgard provides a persistent AI agent with per-user encrypted memory. You supply your own Anthropic (Claude) API key; Anthropic performs the model inference and bills you directly for it. We provide the memory, identity, and orchestration layer.

2. Your key and your account

Your Aedelgard key is your account. It is shown exactly once and cannot be recovered. We keep no email or password, so we cannot reset or restore your key. Your data is encrypted at rest and isolated per tenant; operator-blind end-to-end encryption is on our roadmap, so the Service is not yet fully zero-knowledge. Safeguarding your key is your responsibility — loss of the key means permanent loss of access to the associated vault.

3. Your Claude key

You are responsible for your Anthropic API key, for all inference charges Anthropic applies to it, and for complying with Anthropic's terms. We verify that your key is valid with a single minimal request and never store it in the clear. You may revoke it at Anthropic at any time.

4. Fees and billing

The founding window: while it is open, the Service is provided free of charge. No card is collected and nothing converts into a paid subscription automatically — we hold no payment details and cannot charge you silently. When paid hosting begins, continued use of the hosted Service is offered for a flat recurring subscription fee ($25/month at launch), billed by Millenion AB through our payment processor, Stripe, and started only by your explicit opt-in at checkout. Fees are stated at checkout and exclude any VAT or taxes applied where required. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. What you keep either way: the mind you found — your Aedelgard key, your memory and its full export, and the right to run it on your own hardware — remains yours permanently and free, whether or not you ever subscribe. A lapsed or absent subscription pauses hosted access only; it never forfeits the mind. Inference costs charged by your model provider are separate and not included.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service unlawfully, to abuse the infrastructure, or to attempt to compromise other users' vaults. We may suspend access for conduct that threatens the Service or other users.

6. Availability and liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Millenion AB is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of data resulting from a lost key. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under Swedish law.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
